Jun 25, 2021 · A note on the disabling via unplugging .... the driver's seat can just be unplugged, the passenger seat is the oddball because of the occupant detection system for the airbags, the car will detect the weight and the seatbelt unbuckled... for the driver, there is no ODS, it's assumed someone is sitting there and actually driving the car (go figure)... so the seatbelt switch isn't as fancy logic ...I just bought a 2019 Crosstrek. I love it so far. Does anyone know how to disable to Seatbelt Warning Chime? I emailed Subaru and they told me to ask the dealer.
