Gloomhaven personal quest
In our Frosthaven campaign we retired two characters today by completing Personal Quest cards. I read carefully through pages 64 and 65, and it has a lot of rules for personal quests, but it doesn't precisely say where the completed cards go. Q1: When we played Gloomhaven, I remember removing the completed Personal Quest cards from the game. The same class again. Another one of the six starting classes. An unlocked class someone else unlocked and isn't currently playing. Sun/Eclipse if you unlock them from +10/-10 reputation. The Diviner if you have Forgotten Circles. For the Aesther Outpost personal quest, it says to immediately open scenario 65 and see it to completion. Does this mean to immediately open it, then when you want, complete it? Only upon successfully doing so should you open the Envelope and retire your character. So your gut is right. Then when they reach the required total, it will unlock the scenario mentioned on the personal quest card. Then the party has the option of completing that scenario (and the one (s) following it) at any time. Spent. Once you have it, you can probably finish the quest in just 2-3 scenarios with the right enemies, since you can use it multiple times per scenario and it gives such a huge bonus that it's not hard to land a killing blow with it.
