Fj cruiser rear speakers
Add rear fill to any FJ Cruiser. This speaker package easily integrates into existing EMPTY speaker locations in the rear compartment of most FJ Cruisers. Custom interface brackets and Plug and Play harnesses make this upgrade quick and simple. All hardware, interface cables, and grill covers are included.All of this applies the same to the rear speakers and exciters. It would be a good idea to install bass blockers on the 3.5" speakers wherever you install them. In summary I would leave the dash speakers out. Get a good set of 3.5" speakers to put in the rear pillars and unplug the exciter speakers in the headliner.

I have a 2014 FJ and there are no speakers in the rear of it and I don't want to install the sub woofer system. I went with Pioneer Car TSA878 60-Watt 3.5-inch Dash Mount 2-Way Car Speaker for dash mount. Those are like 40$. I made the mounting bracket for the door speakers out of the OEM speakers.
I have added Polk 6.5's in the rear pillars. Took a bit of work with the use of the original covers for the 4" speakers and found some bowls that fit the speakers perfectly.. I simply made the adapters to fit the speakers and the rear covers with the black grill removed. Just be forewarned, you wont be able to hear the rear speakers that well from the front. I have 6.5 inch speakers in the back and I can barely hear them while sitting in the front.
