short cranking time,,,,no start. I have a 2003 duramax automatic all stock. It will only spin over about 4-5 seconds then quits turning even thoe Im still on the key, it stops by itself, when the truck does this it does not start. The odd time it will fire up and run normal. Check to make sure your fuel filter is tight and the gaskets are not pinched. Also check the fuel lines going from the filter housing to the CP3.No visible fuel leak anywhere and no air in the low system. 3. FRP Fuel rail Pressure shows above 15000 PSI cranking (assuming rail pressure is good). 4. RPM shows about 130 RPM while cranking (assuming crank sensor is good) 5.
